is a scruffy looking nerf herder. But otherwise, a McMaster University philosophy student (of contemporary ethics and formal logic), vegan, literary fanatic, Dungeon Master, mediocre writer (both of fiction and non-fiction, located in my FAQ), film junkie (e.g. Woody Allen, Godard), SF/science/ discovery lover. Feel free to ask for: help with going vegan, reading recommendations, philosophy info, playing D&D, personal things, or anything else on your mind.
Happy World Vegan Day, everyone!
More than one billion people go without enough food to eat every single day. And with the predicted outcome of our population only increasing from here on out, that problem will only worsen if we continue supporting the same means of agricultural production and lack of food security. The beginning of a solution to food scarcity and hunger on our little blue planet is very simple - to directly utilize our plant-based food energy to feed the population, rather than significantly reducing our output via animal farming.
This world vegan day, I thought it would be good to focus on this global issue. You can make a huge impact on this food crisis by advocating and upholding local vegan practices. Click the image above or here to get the full informational leaflet, get out there and share!
This marks the 18th World Vegan Day, and the 68th anniversary of The Vegan Society. You can read the first ever edition of “The Vegan News” released by the society, all the way back from November 1944! We’ve come a long way, now let’s keep going!
